Jason Aldean is issuing an apology after calling a police officer a "Barney Fife" after he was ticketed for swimming in the ocean a week ago. Jason had ignored red flag warnings on a Florida beach and was fined $100. Jason tweeted his apology, saying that he doesn't completely agree with how the situation was handled, but understands why it was done.
Jason Aldean has finished recording his next album . . . which he's planning to release in October. Jason said new single from the new album will be released the first part of July.
Kenny's new album, Welcome To The Fishbowl, comes out Tuesday. It's his 13th studio album. The title track is about living in a social media driven world. Which is ironic, since Kenny doesn't get into Twitter or Facebook himself. ""I don't have time. I'm running a company. I'm doing everything I've gotta do to do what I do," Kenny says. He not leaving the door completely closed, though. He adds, quote, "Maybe one day . . . maybe soon."
Last month, Miranda Lambert mentioned that she and "The Voice" contestant Raelynn were writing songs together. Well, here's one of them. RaeLynn Tweeted, quote, "Check out this video of me and @Miranda_Lambert singing the song 'Lie' that we wrote!"
Carrie Underwood is celebrating "Good Girl" going platinum - 1 million digital downloads. The single just recently reached the top of the singles chart in country music as well. Carrie will head overseas next week for the UK launch of her Blown Away album and to perform a sold out show at London’s Royal Albert Hall on June 21. Then she’ll head to Australia for five shows including a sold-out stop at the Sydney Opera House on July 2nd.
The Australian version of ‘The Voice’—starring Keith Urban is wrapping up Sunday night. Keith has not signed up for a second season yet, according to The Sydney Morning Herald. But, he wants to. "We're working on it," Keith told the newspaper.
Zac Brown is about to make a big move....to his own record label. The big change will come after the run of the forthcoming CD "Uncaged", to be released on July 10th. Zac says that his band can’t play a show that would be long enough to get all their music out to fans, so he has created his own label the band will produce more live CD’s to get more music out to the fans. Zac and the Band just released the first single from the new album called ‘The Wind.’
