Josh Turner may want to become a movie star. He is in the script reading stage right now. He says he likes the script but he hasn't signed on to do the movie. He didn't say what the movie was about, but hinted that he would love to do a movie about the Civil War. We'll keep you posted.
Josh Turner's new album Punching Bag just debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's country albums chart. The No. 2 through No. 5 albums this week, in order, are Alan Jackson's " The Road to the Ram Jam has announced artist #4 for the invitation only concert. Zac Brown Band will join the line up for the December 29th in Nashville. Zac Brown Band joins Easton Corbin, Brantley Gilbert and Kellie Pickler on the bill. Luke Bryan just can’t seem to run out of reasons to celebrate these days. His single, "Drunk on You" just hit No. 1, making it his 5th No. 1! It might be that catchy line that is giving the song a boost....he says he can hear the crowd singing the "boom boom" line when he sings the song in concert.
Reba was inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame last week. According to the Los Angeles Times, Reba gave a short performance that included "You Can’t Get a Man with a Gun" from her time on Broadway in Annie Get Your Gun in 2001. She also sang "I’m a Survivor" and "Fancy." Lily Tomlin, Reba’s co-star in the upcoming ABC sitcom Malibu Country, also gave a pre-taped tribute to the country legend. The Hollywood Bowl concert raised more than $1 million for the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s music education programs.
One season of The Voice may be enough for Keith Urban. He has not signed on for the Australian version of The Voice's season #2. When asked if he would, he says he doesn't know. He is working on a new album and that is his main focus. He says that if the album is complete in time, he would consider doing the tv show for another round.
