It is now confirmed by the couple themselves. Jake Owen and his wife Lacey Buchanan Owen are having a baby girl, in November! Jake says he didn't know he was going to be a dad when he asked Lacey to marry him. He told People.com that the pregnancy was a bonus on top of the engagement and that he didn't want anyone to think he and Lacey got married because she was pregnant. Jake recalls, “From the day I met her, there was no doubt in my mind I wanted to marry her, and we always knew we wanted a family.” Lacey says they really wanted to keep quiet, too, until they knew whether there was a boy or a girl on the way, adding that the baby news “was just something we wanted to keep to ourselves for a little while.” You can see the full story on People.com.
Another bus fire to report this morning. We’re glad everyone’s safe and sound after Chris Young‘s tour bus nearly caught fire Friday while Chris was in Charlotte, North Carolina, for a tour date. Chris says some fast thinking saved the day. "My tour manager ran on the bus, was like, ‘Off the bus now. Grab what you need, and get off.’ It was like, engine glowing red, smoke comin’ out of the back of it, and we hit it with a fire extinguisher and turned the bus off", Chris says, "“He was like, ‘Man, if y’all hadn’t hit it with a fire extinguisher that, like, in seconds, it could have been in flames, ’cause it was bright red, smoke comin’ out of the back of the engine — just, craziness. So I was glad there was one of the guys at the club that hit it with a fire extinguisher, and I was like, ‘Thank you, dude.’” (laughs)

Here's the real reason Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton will probably never record a duet. It isn't because they are on different record labels. Mirands says they are too "musically different" that it would be difficult to do a project together, "We have such different taste were so different musically I just don’t know how it would even work.” OK, so how about touring together? That could happen. Miranda says a tour would be something in the future maybe but just not right now. “We just both got something cool going on separately it’s like were just kinda enjoying that right now.”
