The newest show about wannabe stars performing for judges is coming to the CW next month (August 16th), starring John Rich. On "The Next: Fame Is at Your Doorstep," the mentors, including John, move in with up-and-coming musicians and guide them over a 72-hour period. In the hilarious new promo for the show (see below), John jokes with his costars -- rapper Nelly, pop singer Gloria Estefan and heartthrob Joe Jonas -- about being a less-than-ideal house guest when he gets in the shower for one gag, and at the end, he offers his best guess regarding what "CW" stands for. "The Next" premieres Aug. 16 on the CW.
Brad Paisley’s bond with Andy Griffith went beyond his 2008 music video for “Waitin’ On A Woman.” He says they remained close friends after the video shoot and up until Andy Griffith died Tuesday. Brad described his friend as “an actor who never looked like he was acting, a moral compass who saved as many souls as most preachers, and an entertainer who put smiles on more faces than almost anyone.”
Zac Brown is a redneck robot named "Robo Redneck" in a new animated video for his band's latest single “The Wind.” It turns out to be a good thing. Brown can play guitar faster because of his robo-arms, and he can drink beer faster, too. This likely won’t be the last time you see Brown’s animated adventures. The video ends with the promise of a sequel. The band’s new album “Uncaged” is due out July 10th. You can see it on CMT.com starting Thursday
