ABC will debut a new nighttime soap this fall called "Nashville." It's premier is on Oct. 10. See the trailer promo below to see just how "catty" this show is going to get. Kind of follows the same story line as "Country Strong", at least to start.
"Nashville" will be filmed entirely on location in Nashville as it chronicles the life of veteran country music singer Rayna James (played by Connie Britton, "Friday Night Lights") and her efforts to remain a popular performer in light of newcomers such as Juliette Barnes (played by Hayden Panettiere, "Heroes") while Rayna also deals with her political power broker father (Powers Boothe, "Hatfields & McCoys").
Connie Britton will be singing for herself in the role. She says, "I have sung my whole life but not really professionally -- not really professionally at all -- but as an actor, to be able to work with the best writer and best music producer, that's a dream come true." A soundtrack from "Nashville" will be released at some point.
There have been some comparisons made between the character Juliette and Taylor Swift. But Hayden Panettiere has deflected those comparisons by saying other than the height, age and hair color between the two, there is no similarity between Taylor and Juliette. "Taylor is much nicer than my character," Hayden points out. The official promo for the show is below, Plus more country themed shows to watch for.
