Justin Moore Accused Of Stealing Song

  • Print

A Tennessee songwriter and a Louisiana fiddler say Justin Moore stole a song from them and they have filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Justin and his record label, Big Machine Records. The pair says that Justin's hit "Backwoods,"sounds strikingly similar to a song they wrote back in 2003. The two are asking for $150,000 apiece for each instance of infringement since the song was released in 2009 and reached #6 on the charts and was downloaded over 300,000 times.

Trace Adkins came up with the concept for a new tv series and he has been taping it as he traveled across America on his "Songs & Stories" tour. Watch for Trace to host the new GAC TV series "Great American Heroes" premiering Wednesday, August 22nd at 7pm. The show will pay tribute to ordinary people doing extraordinary things in their local communities. This show does more than tell some good stories, it affirms our faith in others.”

Love and Theft, the duo of Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson, has the No. 1 song on the country singles charts this week with "Angel Eyes." It's the pair's first single since becoming a duo after their third member (Brian Bandas) left in 2011. Heck, it worked for Sugarland.

Taylor Swift says heartache looks "red" to her and that is why she is calling her new album "Red" when it comes out later this year. Taylor explained it this way, "In my mind, when you experience love that's fast-paced and out of control and mixes infatuation, jealousy, frustration, miscommunication and all of those lovely emotions ... in retrospect, it all looks red." Her first single off the new CD is called "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." While she didn't go into detail, Swift mentioned she will tour to support the project.

By the way, did anyone tell you that Taylor Swift bought a home across from street from the Kennedy's? I heard about this last week, but that was before it was official. Now it's a done deal. Taylor will now be across the street from her boyfriend, Conor Kennedy. This romance must be serious. According to People.com, Taylor paid around $4.9 million for the seven bedroom/five bath home that over looks Nantucket Sound. The realtor said she got a deal on it. It had been on the market for about four years. Taylor still owns her condo in Nashville and a home in L.A.
