Carrie Underwood is dating her husband again. Even though Carrie and her professional hockey player husband, Mike Fisher, have been married for two years they spend so much time apart that they have to make their time together count. Carrie tells Us Weekly magazine.
"We go on dates and make sure to make that extra effort." The twosome have also found another simple way to keep their romance alive when they're separated. "We will text and tweet 'I love you' every day," Carrie explains.
We hardly had time to get used to them being together and now The Jane Dear Girls have broken up. Apparently, former Jane Dear Girl Susie Brown is working on a solo album and has already posted a solo single called "Sassy" on YouTube. Meanwhile, her former partner, Danelle Leverett, has rechristened herself Nelly Joy, launched a Facebook page and recorded a single called "Trampoline."
Jason Aldean announced on stage during a concert this week that his new album will be out in October and will be called "Night Train."
Big congratulations go out to the guys of Love and Theft — Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson — who topped the country airplay charts this week with their huge hit single and first number-one chart smash, “Angel Eyes.” It’s been a rockin’ week for Stephen and Eric, who not only hit number one but also learned just a few days earlier that “Angel Eyes” has been certified as a Gold Digital Single. Stephen says, “Half a million people that spent their hard-earned dollars to listen to our music, that’s…when people spend their own money, that’s a huge honor. So we don’t take that for granted at all. It’s a lot.” Eric added, “It’d be cool if all 500,000 of those people could be in one place, ’cause I feel like they’d sing really loud…”
Brantley Gilbert has some bragging rights. Thanks to his loyal and passionate fanbase, Gilbert crossed over the 1 million “likes” mark on Facebook, joining the rare ranks of Country Music’s biggest names including Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan and Eric Church. Brantley is one of only two debut artists in the last two years to achieve this social media milestone. The platform has helped him interact directly with fans.
