Another bad week for Randy Travis. He was arrested Friday (8/24) and charged with assaulting a man in a church parking lot. The next day (Saturday, 8/25), Randy Travis' truck was found in a field, wrecked and upside down.
The man Randy Travis is accused of assaulting is reportedly the estranged husband of a woman being described as Randy's girlfriend. Her name was not released. According to a police spokesman in Plano, Texas Randy is charged with a Class C assault after he allegedly attacked the man during a custody dispute over a child. Police reports say Randy appeared to be the primary aggressor in the incident.
Then, a day later police in Frisco, Texas, discovered a truck belonging to the country icon abandoned, smashed and upside down in a field behind a Walmart. According to Randy's lawyer, a ranch hand had been using the truck, and not the singer, who he said rarely drives the vehicle.
