Blake Admits His LA Home is Gaudy. See Photos

Blake Shelton's rented Hollywood Hills home is a little gaudy, even for the admitted redneck.

"I wanted it to be interesting enough that Miranda would come, and that means a swimming pool, and lots of room for dogs to run around", Blake said, "So they sent pictures of all these houses, and I saw this one, and thought, ‘Man, this is like pimped, she’ll love that." Blake now realizes it is a little too "Elvis-y." Photos (below) show an Italian motif, with columns and marble all over. But Blake does like one thing about the house, "I bet I’m the only guy within six or seven square miles of this area who goes outside to pee just because it’s funny to me to see how far I can pee down into the canyon."  The home will always have a special place in Blake Shelton's career history though. The media room has a stage with spotlights on it and Blake said they used it to record his new Christmas album, "Cheers! It's Christmas."

Jason Aldean has noticed that during his shows, more and more undergarments are being thrown on stage. "I don't know what it is ... I start playing my songs and it just makes people want to get naked," Jason said in an interview last week (quote via CBS Local). Jason also revealed in the interview that he would like to go on tour with George Strait.  Do you think those two would mix?  George's concert aren't quite the party atmosphere that Jason's are.

Did Brad Paisley really get Neil Armstrong and Lance Armstrong confused on Twitter?  Or, is he just playing with us? Monday morning, Brad tweeted "Did I just see on the news that Neil Armstrong got his Tour DeFrance titles stripped away?” Then later, “Also coincidentally, Louis Armstrong, the first Man on the Moon has passed.” And, finally, “Thank goodness will still have the music of Lance Armstrong. What a Wonderful World.” I think Brad knew exactly what he was doing and was only having some fun.

Thompson Square recently added a puppy, Etta, to their family which led them to team up with Purina Dog Chow to help promote the ‘Dog Families Know’ campaign. Through August 31, dog owners are invited to visit the Dog Chow Families Know Facebook Tab and share stories of how their dog has affected their lives. For every unique story, photo or video posted, Purina Dog Chow will donate $1 to the military service dog organization, Patriot Rovers, up to $25,000. The Thompsons also recorded a video of the song “A Dog’s Life” as part of the partnership. It’s a song Keifer Thompson wrote 10 years about about life through a dog’s eye. The video features Etta as she strolls with her owners through New York City. Watch the video below:

Blake is calling his starring role on the tv show The Voice both a blessing and a curse. Blake believes ‘The Voice‘ hurt him because he had to sacrifice being on the road at the peak of his career. He told Country Weekly. "I don’t know how long I can stand it." The problem is two seasons of The Voice in one year. The full Blake Shelton Country Weekly interview will be on newsstands September 3rd.

Tim McGraw is afraid of intimacy, when it comes to playing to smaller crowds. Coming off a summer of playing to 50,000 – 60,000 people at a show for the Brothers Of The Sun Tour with Kenny Chesney, Tim will be shifting to playing for 1,800 people a night with wife Faith Hill in Las Vegas. That makes him nervous, ““It makes me nervous to be that intimate. I mean, I’ve only done it a few times, I mean early in my career of course when I played clubs, but only a few times have I played small rooms, except for in a bar when we do the Bread and Water shows that we’ve done for ten years after a show where we go out and play club stuff, but we were all so drunk then that it didn’t matter.”  Tickets for Soul2Soul at The Venetian in Vegas are on sale now through Ticketmaster.
