Well, at least one of the Paisleys will be on tv this fall.
Brad may have turned down a role as a judge on American Idol but his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, will star in the new ABC drama, "Nashville." Kim will play "the other woman" in a love triangle. She will be featured in several episodes. The new nighttime soap will be set in Nashville and follows a country star at her peak, and a star on the rise.
Eric Church is going to take off the shades and hang out at home for most of 2013. That's what he told Billboard magazine. Eric will spend that time at home writing new songs for his next CD. But he will be in no hurry to put out the follow up to "Chief." He says, "I'm not anywhere close to a next album. I'm never in a hurry to make records, never will be. I'm waiting on the creative process to tell me what's next. I'm not going to be an artist who just makes records so the [label] can make its quarterly numbers or just to support a tour. That's the worst reason in the world to make music." Eric will be playing Intrust Bank Arena in December. Tickets are not on sale for that show yet.
I would have never skipped class if Keith Urban had been one of my high school teachers. How about you? I bet it's 100% attendance when Keith is the substitute for a group of Nashville-area high school students on September 6th. Keith will teach 190 juniors and seniors for about 75 minutes as part of an educational program launched by the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The kids will learn about the craft of songwriting, and hear Keith tell stories about his musical and creative influences. And, of course, he will play a couple of songs for the kids.
