It’s official: Keith Urban is joining the American Idol judges panel.
It was confirmed by Fox Sunday that Keith Urban and rapper Nicki Minaj,are judges three and four with pop diva Mariah Carey and returning judge Randy Jackson. Fox’s president Mike Darnell said he was sure Idol fans and contestants will fall in love with Keith.
Arriving at Lincoln Centerin New York for auditions this weekend, Keith hailed "Idol" for its "great history of producing real stars." And, said he plans to be "authentic" but not cruel. We will find out in January when the new season debuts.
The devil is in the theme song details for Monday Night Football. ESPN will air a special version of the Charlie Daniels Band's classic, "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" to open the Atlanta Falcons vs Denver Broncos game tonight. (Sept. 17). The song has been revised to mention Falcons' quarterback Matt Ryan and Broncos' new QB, Peyton Manning in the new lyrics.
Summer is not over on the Billboard country chart. Little Big Town's “Pontoon” is number one again this week. Hunter Hays’ “Wanted” is up to number two. “Time is Love” by Josh Turner drops down to number three, while “Take a Little Ride” by Jason Aldean and Jana Kramer’s “Why Ya Wanna” round out the top five.
Move over Brad and Carrie. Here comes Luke Bryan and The Band Perry's Kimberly Perry. The two will be hosting the musical event, "CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock" tonight, (9/17) 7p-10p- on ABC. The concerts and performances featured were all taped back in June during the 2012 CMA Music Fest in Nashville. An "A to Z" of Country Music's hottest stars will perform a song or two.

Dolly Parton continues her creative entrepreneurialism with a series of three Dolly Parton slot machines to be unveiled October 2-4 at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E). The three Dolly themed slot machines will be titled "Two Doors down", "Nine To Five" and simply "Dolly Parton Video Slots." On all three, Dolly herself cheers you on while you play.
