Blake Shelton Won't Give Up Chair

  • Print

Blake Shelton is staying on as a coach on The Voice. While two of his fellow coaches are leaving the singing show (Ce Lo Green and Christina Aguilera are both leaving), Blake and Adam Levine will stay on for back to back seasons of the hit NBC show. Blake had complained that doing the show was cutting into his career goals of "playing country music, drinking after concerts and tweeting." Apparently, he reconsidered those goals.

Blake is also doing something cool for his fans. He will no longer charge fans to be a member of fan club, The BS’ers. The free membership deal will start later this month. Blake promises no changes to the extras fan club members get either. “You’re going to have the same access to pre-sales, and everything that you’ve already had up until now will not change. So, don’t freak out,” Blake said. Now, let’s see if other artists follow Blake’s lead.

On Monday (9/17), Rascal Flatts received their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It’s a big deal for all the guys. Watch a video of the presentation below:

Tim McGraw isn’t looking back as he works on his new album, the one in the middle of that nasty lawsuit between his new record label and his old label. Tim says he knows that he has more ahead than behind him, “I feel inspired, I guess a good way to put it. I don’t know, I just feel like there’s a brand new world opening up. I think that there’s so much more left in my career. I think there’s more ahead of me than ever has been behind me.”

Justin Moore will open for Eric Church this fall on the Blood, Sweat and Beers Tour and he couldn’t be more excited, “You know we’ve been fortunate to be on a lot of major tours and they’ve all been great, but I’m as excited about this tour (if not more so) as I’ve been for any. Eric and I have known each other for a little while and gotten to be good buddies and it’s gonna be a blast. I’m looking forward to playing in front of his crowd and also watching him play. I’m a big fan of him and his music.” Eric Church's concert tour comes through Wichita on December 8th.
