Martina McBride says she is not mad, but it would have been nice if her former record label had at least called to let her know they were releasing a greatest hits album under her name.
RCA Nashville announced they will release "The Essential Martina McBride, a 40-song collection of some of the country star's biggest hits and most beloved duets, on Oct. 22. As happy as this news is for her fans, Martina seemed a bit annoyed when she tweeted, "Wow! Kinda sucks that I had 2 find out on twitter that RCA is releasing a cd of 40 of my songs. #hopeIatleastgetafreecopy." A second tweet said, "Having said that I'm not mad about it. Just would have been cool to get a phone call. #iwonderwhatthecoverlookslike?" She'll have to keep wondering for a bit. The cover image is still absent on Amazon's page for The Essential Martina McBride, as is the track listing.
Blake Shelton says he feels like a loser. Blake realizes he is going to have to step up his game on The Voice after not getting a single member for his team Tuesday night (9/18) during blind auditions on the show. He pushed his button and turned his chair around several times but could not close the deal. Blake now says he'll have to be more "cutthroat" in trying to win new members for his team. The Voice is back on tonight (9/19)
While Blake is in LA getting ready for the live Voice shows to start, things have been sad at home in Oklahoma. Miranda is asking fans to help her find her lost puppy, Loretta. The black labrador has been gone for two days (as of 9/18) from Miranda and Blake's ranch in Tishomingo, OK. Loretta is a stray that Miranda found just a few months ago. Miranda says the dog is wearing a collar with tags, and her phone number is on the tag.
It's so good to have Big & Rich back with a new studio album. The guys released "Hillbilly Jedi" Tuesday, which is their first album release together in four years. Watch them perform the album's first single, That's Why I Pray, on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Wednesday, September 19.
