Trace Adkins Tweets Advice During Hurricane

  • Print

Trace Adkins was in New York City taping Celebrity Apprentice when Hurricane Sandy struck. He tweeted a photo of the broken crane hanging over a NY street, with some advice for the construction company.  . . .he says all they had to do was put the thing on its side and it would have weathered the storm.  That's what he used to do when he worked on oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. Of course, in New York they don’t have a lot of experience preparing for hurricanes.

ABC is going to get in some valuable cross plugging on the CMA Awards show Thursday night. They have arranged for the stars of some of their shows to be presenters. Namely, Tim Allen, who stars in the new  show Last Man Standing”. Reba (who could arguably be invited anyway), star of the new ABC sitcom Malibu Country. Then there are actresses Connie Britton and Hayden Panittiere from the new series “Nashville.” Other non-country artist presenters will include Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson, and Brad Paisley’s actress wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley.

Jason Aldean was asked which artist he’d like to tour with, dead or alive, and he chose Elvis Presley. Says Jason, "He actually died the year I was born, so I never got to see a show of his or anything like that except for things on TV. I just think the guy was really interesting." Jason added that when it comes to living artists,  he'd most like to tour with George Strait.

Justin Moore is no fan of Halloween. But in the past couple of years he has gone along with the holiday for his daughter’s sake. Justin says, “Well, everybody knows that I don’t care for Halloween. I didn’t care for it as a kid and I still don’t. Ella’s helped out with that a little bit. It’s fun to see her get dressed up and go around and trick or treat. The funniest thing is she loved last year handing out candy at our house as much as she did going and getting her own. It was pretty funny to watch her hand it out.”

Darius Rucker has a costume all planned out for this year. “I’m going as Brad Paisley. We haven’t decided what that entails yet, but I know it’s got a Justin Bieber wig involved, and I’m going as Brad [with] some sideburns. I’ll make it happen.”

Lee Brice has his second #1 song. “Hard To Love” tops the country charts this week!
