Blake Shelton taped his "Not So Family Christmas Special" for NBC yesterday. You have to wait till December 3rd to see it thought. Blake says NBC pretty much let him do what he wanted on the special, so we can expect a lot of Blake's personality to come through. Blake says, "We got a little edgy" with the special, which will offer up selections from his recently-released album, Cheers, It's Christmas. In keeping with the "family" part of the special, like the album, it will feature a performance from Blake's mom, Dorothy Shackleford, and will also welcome Kelly Clarkson (who dates Blake's manager, Brandon Blackstock). Also featured will be Reba McEntire, Blake's fellow Okie. Mrs. Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, will also appear on the special.
The PEOPLE magazine cover we most look forward to every year will hit newsstands Nov. 16, revealing the "Sexiest Man Alive." We don't know yet whose handsome mug will grace that cover, but we do know the magazine's pick for the sexiest man of the week: Chris Young! The 27-year old country heartthrob tells PEOPLE he's single ... but not in a huge hurry to mingle. "My family is giving me hell," he laments. "My grandmother nudges me. She's like, 'So, anybody you're giving a ring to soon?' But I'm in a good spot right now. It's one of those things that will happen when it's meant to."
It's just a few weeks until Jake Owen and his wife, Lacey, meet their new baby girl, and they've already got a name picked out. The pair told The Boot on Thursday's CMA Awards red carpet that they'll be calling their new bundle of joy Pearl. The name holds special meaning for Jake, as it was that of his best friend who passed away. Though Pearl Owen's due date is still roughly three weeks away, the whole family is excited to meet its newest member.
