Jake Owen is on baby watch. Wife Lindsay is expecting the couple's first child, a daughter, this month. Jake says his beloved dog, Merle, is going to need to get used to having competition for attention. "Yeah, I’m a little…I’m worried that, you know, Merle’s (sighs)…Merle’s gonna get his feelings hurt a little bit. He already looks sad enough ’cause he’s a bulldog, but he also really likes kids. He’s fascinated with kids, and he loves playin’ with ‘em, and so it could be cool. I can’t wait."
LeAnn Rimes has a new addition to her family -- a four-legged one! After seeing a picture tweeted by a friend, Leann rescued a puppy that had been abandoned on a busy Los Angeles highway. LeAnn told People magazine, "We ALL fell in love at first sight," LeAnn says of the five-pound, eight-month-old pooch. The new pup was given the name Evie by LeAnn's eldest stepson, 9-year-old Mason.
Miranda Lambert is concerned for the future of women in country music. She says there aren't as many new girls coming up behind her as she would like. For three years in a row Miranda has been named the CMA Female Vocalist Of The Year. She says she helped kick the door open and now she's going to hold her leg in there to keep it open for talented women to follow.
Busy week for Jason Aldean. He will perform his new single "The Only Way I Know" live on The Voice Tuesday night. While the song features Luke Bryan and Eric Church on the Night Train CD, Jason will be performing it solo several times this week. After The Voice Tuesday, he'll head to Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday and Ellen on Friday.
