Blake Shelton admits to a big misunderstanding concerning his comments on not being able to understand anything pop star Shakira says. That, he said, resulted in the him receiving death threats. Blake told Chelsea Handler on her E!, "I got on Twitter one day, and I actually wrote something ... a joke like, 'Hey, I met Shakira today and I didn't understand anything that she said ... and her fans, her fans are, Colombians down there ... I was getting death threats, those people were going to cut me, they were going to kill me ... it was ... a joke!" Shakira is filling in for Cee Lo Green next spring on The Voice, Season 4. Production on that season is already under way.
Grammy award winning country trio Lady Antebellum announced their new charitable initiative today called LadyAID™, a philanthropic effort created to bring awareness to and generate support for children in need locally, nationally and globally. “The opportunity to play music on stages all around the world has given us so much happiness,” said Lady A’s Dave Haywood. “By establishing LadyAID™, we’re going to be able to put a new focus on accomplishing an off-stage goal we have as a band, which is to help children in need.” “There are children all over the world who are suffering because they don’t have the resources to get the help they need,” added Hillary Scott.
Tim McGraw is ready for his and Faith Hill’s new Soul2Soul show at The Venetian in Las Vegas, where he’ll only be performing for about 1,800 people a night. “It makes me nervous to be that intimate.” Tim says of the early days when he was playing to small crowds in clubs, “We were all so drunk then that it didn’t matter when we played those.” Tim stopped drinking four years ago, so that won’t be applicable in Vegas, The Las Vegas shows get started this Friday December 7th.

Rascal Flatts will host this year's annual special, "A Home for the Holidays," which combines musical performances from top recording artists and heart-touching stories of adoption. "A Home for the Holidays With Rascal Flatts," is set to air Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 7:00 PM on CBS. "A Home for the Holidays," which is now in its 14th year, was hosted last year by Martina McBride.
