Josh Turner’s "Time Is Love" was the most played country song of 2012, Taylor Swift’s RED was the biggest selling country album based on Billboard's Year End Chart.

Entertainment Weekly has ranked the "Best and Worst Song Lyrics of 2012." Taylor Swift got honors for the best lyrics for her spoken word part of "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." Taylor says, "And I’m like… ‘I just… I mean, this is exhausting, you know. Like, we are never getting back together. Like, ever.’" But Entertainment Weekly listed a line from Little Big Town's "Pontoon" as the worst, when they sing "Party in slow motion/Out here in the open/Mmmmmmm…motorboatin’!"
