Carrie Underwood brought home the Grammy for Best Country Song for Blown Away and she brought the Staple Center to it's feet when she performed in a "digital dress." For those who have been to one of Carrie's concerts, you know that she had done the light up dress thing in concert for years. But this one was a little different. In addition to lighting up, the dress also served as a digital screen for butterflies, roses, stars and abstract graphics dancing across the front of the ball gown. It was the first time in Grammy history that an artist's wardrobe acted as a movie screen. (See photos of the dress here.) Carrie said of the dress, "I just like to stand still and sing sometimes! Mindy McCready was released from a psychiatric treatment facility after doctors diagnosed her as mentally stable.. Last Wednesday, Mindy's family admitted her to the facility after questions arose over her ability to cope in the aftermath of the death of her fiance, David Wilson. He was the father of her youngest son, and although initial reports had said he committed suicide, his death is still being investigated. A family source says, "Being involuntarily committed and having her children taken away from her was eye-opening. It helped her realize she needs to focus on putting her family back together and moving forward from this tragedy. She is in a better state of mind."
Tim McGraw will appear on Monday's (Feb. 11) episode of "Cake Boss" at 9:00 PM on TLC. Tim uses the appearance to promote his campaign to give mortgage free homes to veterans. Tim told the audience when taping the show, "Our veterans and our wounded warriors give so much to our country. They do so much for us." On the show, Tim introduces baker Buddy Valastro, who wheelsout a giant cake in the shape of a pickup truck, with a sweet two-story home in the truck bed. "This is not just a cake," Tim explains to Marine Chris Chaput and his wife, Roseanna. "This represents a real house that you guys are going to get."
They have been husband and wife for less than 2 years but Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton think they know the secrets to staying happily married. Miranda shared her three unbreakable rules for marriage with E!. They are: 1. Communicate: "If you can't jump on the phone to chat with your significant other, keep up the texting." 2. Make time: "Make time for him at least once a week." 3. Having dogs rather than children: "I'm a passionate dog lover." Blake and Miranda are satisfied with their furry babies.
