Star's Fan Mail Found In A Dumpster

  • Print

Hundreds of glittered covered fan letters to Taylor Swift were found, unopened, in a Tennessee dumpster over the weekend.  The woman who discovered them put them in a box and immediately alerted the Nashville media.  The Taylor fan mail, "covered with pictures, hearts and sparkles," was addressed to a P.O. Box at a strip mall. The owner of the venue says a member of the superstar's team usually comes to get the letters every so often. A Taylor spokeswoman says she had a theory on what happened, "a small batch of mail that was supposed to be delivered to Taylor was accidentally put with letters headed for the recycling center." Taylor has yet to respond to the story.

Miranda Lambert has a new found puppy.  She tweeted that she found the dog "in the middle of the highway."  Miranda tried but couldn't locate the dog's owner, "I guess the pup is mine till I find him a little boy somewhere to love [sic] him." Until then, Miranda has given the little guy a temporary name: "Pistol Andy."  Husband, Blake Shelton, says he never knows what Miranda will bring home after a trip to the grocery store.  He says, "I'm not kidding when I say 20, maybe 25, maybe 30 times -- she's come home from the grocery store and there will either be a dog or a cat in her car. And they're not always puppies.'"

Luke Bryan has scored his second No. 1 country album, and his first-ever No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200, with Spring Break...Here to Party, a full-length compilation featuring songs from his first four spring-break-themed EPs, along with two new tunes, "Buzzkill" and "Just a Sip." According to Nielsen SoundScan, the album sold just shy of 150,000 copies. "We're proud that we started a little idea and that it's grown into something," says the singer.

Dustin Lynch had to technically break the law to get his music career started. Dustin said he obtained a fake ID – not for underage drinking – but to get into the legendary Bluebird Cafe in Nashville.  Dustin said he chose his college – David Lipscomb University – because it was less than two miles from the club, which proved immensely important in his development. He never got caught using the faked i.d. and the music thing is working out so far.  The end justifies the means.

George Jones is going out in style with a sold out star studded concert in Nashville in November.  Pop star Cyndi Lauper was just added to the roster.  Which was a head scratcher until George explained, "I have been a fan of Cyndi’s since I first saw her years ago at the Grammy awards; what a thrill it was to hear she will be part of this final celebration."   Cyndi will be there with Garth Brooks,  Alan Jackson, Dierks Bentley, Charlie Daniels, Montgomery Gentry, Kenny Rogers, Randy Travis, Tanya Tucker, Josh Turner and more.  It’s likely there will be even more announced.
