The couple were in the thick of putting together a glamorous Nashville event when suddenly they realized bigger wasn't better – and that they were getting lost in the process. "When two people get married, it's not about the glamour," Pickler, 24, tells PEOPLE. "It's about the bride and groom and God." So, bride and groom decided to elope to a heavenly spot in Antigua, where they married as the sun set over the Caribbean Sea. And he says that was part of his motivation for getting clean and sober. And then I started slurring my texts and I figured hell, I gotta quit drinking." Tim quit drinking about three years ago. "Faith has kept me alive," Tim told People magazine, adding that if not for his wife, "I'd be dead." Tim jokes that he plays the "Faith" role in his current movie, 'Country Strong,' as the sober half of a struggling couple, while Gwyneth Paltrow plays the old Tim -- a country star struggling with substance abuse.
