Jason Aldean will be coming back to Wichita next year, some time between February 21st and the end of May. He announced he will kick off the first leg of his 2013 Night Train Tour in Bossier City, LA on Feb. 21st and roll on to 23 cities through May, ending in Wichita. We do not have an exact date or an on sale date. Jason is also scheduled to play Friday, June 28th at Country Stampede in Manhattan KS and those tickets are on sale now. Reba has another hit on her hands. She debuted her new sitcom, “Malibu Country,” Friday (11/2) on ABC and it had the highest ratings for the night and gave the network its highest ratings for a Friday night time slot for the first time in five years. The show features Reba as Reba Gallagher, a wife and mother whose world is turned upside-down when she discovers that her country music legend husband has a cheatin’ heart. Tune in Friday on ABC at 8:30 p.m. to catch the next episode.

Blake Shelton taped his "Not So Family Christmas Special" for NBC yesterday. You have to wait till December 3rd to see it thought. Blake says NBC pretty much let him do what he wanted on the special, so we can expect a lot of Blake's personality to come through. Blake says, "We got a little edgy" with the special, which will offer up selections from his recently-released album, Cheers, It's Christmas. In keeping with the "family" part of the special, like the album, it will feature a performance from Blake's mom, Dorothy Shackleford, and will also welcome Kelly Clarkson (who dates Blake's manager, Brandon Blackstock). Also featured will be Reba McEntire, Blake's fellow Okie. Mrs. Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, will also appear on the special.

Trace Adkins was in New York City taping Celebrity Apprentice when Hurricane Sandy struck. He tweeted a photo of the broken crane hanging over a NY street, with some advice for the construction company. . . .he says all they had to do was put the thing on its side and it would have weathered the storm. That's what he used to do when he worked on oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. Of course, in New York they don’t have a lot of experience preparing for hurricanes.

Carrie Underwood says her tour bus microwave is getting a good workout. Saturday night in a backstage Q&A before her Blown Away concert at Intrust Bank Arena, Carrie told a group of fans that she mostly cooks veggie burgers in the microwave for meals on the road. Of course, Carrie is a vegetarian and has said in the past that she doesn't go out to eat at restaurants while on the road.

LeAnn Rimes is going to talk to Katie Couric Friday night about what exactly made her in such bad shape that she had to go into rehab. According to the tease promo for the ABC special, Leann will explain that she was "hurting badly." LeAnn said, quote, "People look at you and go why are you struggling? No one can quite understand why you hurt so badly." The "All Access Nashville with Katie Couric" is loaded with country stars . . . including Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley (Pistol Annies.)

Jason Aldean’s fifth studio album Night Train steamrolled to a No. one debut on the Billboard Top 200 chart today with 409,303 copies sold in its first week. This marks the second-highest debut in all genres of music this year and the highest in country since 2010. “This past week was beyond anything I ever expected,” said Aldean. “The ‘Night Train’ has already been a crazy ride for me. I couldn’t be more thankful. I’m really looking forward to finishing out the tour this weekend and getting back to Nashville for the CMAs next week.”

Reba says Blake Shelton is going to make an appearance on her new tv show, Malibu Country. And, she also expects Kelly Clarkson to make it on the show. Reba says special guests like Blake and Kelly will have to be worked into the script in a very natural way. And, expect to hear new music from Reba as a result of the show. She says they will have a new song in both of the first two episodes. "Malibu Country" debuts November 2nd.

Keith Urban may be asking American Idol producers to let him out of his agreement. According to The National Enquirer, an insider says Keith wants out. Insiders say Keith told execs: “I don’t want to be the peacemaker this entire season” – and he’d be grateful if they’d replace him. Keith is in the middle of the lady drama between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj. “Keith knew there’d be friction between the two women, but had no idea how vicious and threatening it would become,” said a source.

Miranda Lambert lives in Spanx and she is pretty sure other girls should too. Miranda told "Good Housekeeping" that girls are always thanking her for "being normal-sized." She makes no apologies about her body. But she admits she does wears Spanx, the slimming, firming undergarments, and she recommends that other women do the same thing.

Rascal Flatts is extending their Changed tour and are including a couple of dates in Kansas, including a Wichita concert on January 19th. The other Kansas date will be February 28th in Topeka. Their opening act will be Band Perry. The date that tickets will go on sale for the Wichita concert has not been released yet.
