Now it's Brittany Kerr who is apologizing for getting too affectionate with married country singer Jason Aldean. In a statement the former American Idol hopeful and current Charlotte Bobcat cheerleader said she didn't know that Jason was married. She felt badly about the incident, "The actions I portrayed recently were not a representation of my true character, but a lapse in judgment on my part," Brittany says (quote via TMZ). She has also taken down her Twitter and Facebook pages after becoming the subject of backlash from Jason's fans.

Scotty McCreery has achieved another milestone in his relatively short career. Billboard Magazine has named Scotty one of the hottest artists under drinking age on their ’21 Under 21′ list. They cite the fact that he won the 10th season of American Idol, and that his debut album, ‘Clear as Day,’ sold a million copies. Scotty will release a Christmas album titled ‘Christmas With Scotty McCreery‘ on Oct. 16. He has been working on writing for a sophomore studio album, which he says will feature more mature musical themes.

Blake Shelton is staying on as a coach on The Voice. While two of his fellow coaches are leaving the singing show (Ce Lo Green and Christina Aguilera are both leaving), Blake and Adam Levine will stay on for back to back seasons of the hit NBC show. Blake had complained that doing the show was cutting into his career goals of "playing country music, drinking after concerts and tweeting." Apparently, he reconsidered those goals.

Katie Couric, of all people, may have let the cat out of the bag, and announced early that Keith Urban IS an American Idol Judge. She interviewed Jennifer Lopez for her show (Katie) in an episode that will air today. She asked J-Lo, quote, " What do you think about the new group of judges?" J-Lo asked, "Did they announce?" Katie said 'yes' and proceeded to say that the judges panel would consist of Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban and Randy [Jackson]. In response, a representative for Fox told ABCNews.com, “Please note that the only confirmed judge for ‘American Idol’ is Mariah Carey."

Blake Shelton returns to The Voice for it's third season premiere Monday night (September 10 on NBC.) Blake's fellow coach on the show, Adam Levine, stopped by The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to promo the show. Adam Levine is famously in a "bromance" with Blake Shelton, the sole representative of country music on The Voice. With some encouragement from Leno, Levine did a bit of his Blake Shelton impression. He then aired a clip from the new season's blind audition rounds during which he goes into full-on country twang Blake Shelton mode. See it below:
