 Fit and Style Solutions for the Plus Size Woman  9:00 am to 5:00 pm    (Conventions/Seminars)
Location: Sedgwick County Extension Center
The local American Sewing guild is hosting a free trunk show on March 19, 7 p.m., and a paid full day seminar on March 20, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., by author and teacher Kathleen Cheetham. Both events are at the Sedgwick County Extension Center. The seminar, Fit and Style Solutions for the Plus-Sized Woman, includes hands-on participation where the attendee will learn to make adjustments to patterns and will take home mini patterns for reference.  Lake Afton Public Observatory presents: Colonizing Space  7:30 - 10:00 PM    (Family)
Location: The Observatory is located about 20 miles southwest of downtown Wichita on MacArthur Rd. at 247th Street West in Lake Afton County Park.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live on the Moon, Mars, or an Earth-like planet orbiting another star? During this program, we will examine these objects through the Observatory's 16-inch telescope and discuss what it will take for man to achieve these goals.
