Veterans Awareness Expo bringing 50 programs to veterans

The Veterans Awareness Expo will help veterans and their families connect with more than programs and service providers for veterans.

Enjoy a special program featuring McConnell Air Force Base Leadership with KC-46 Tanker at 1:00 p.m. McConnell was the first base to get the Pegasus in January 2019. The seventh Pegasus was delivered to McConnell on June 28th.

Programs & Services include but are not limited to:

  • Midwest Battle Buddies, Inc.
  • Cloud 9 Therapeutic Equine Foundation Inc.
  • Mobile Units & Reps from The Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center
  • American Legion
  • Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)
  • Housing and Homeless Resources
  • Food can be purchased from food trucks by Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers and Hot-2-Trot Gourmet Hotdogs.

    Veterans and active-duty military can visit the Indian Center Museum for FREE on Saturday, August 3rd (10 am – 4 pm). Family members get into the museum for a discounted price of $4.

You can bring your DD-214:

Veterans are invited to bring the original copy of their DD-214 to register for safekeeping with the Sedgwick County Register of Deeds. Five free certified copies will be provided.

Veterans Discounts in Sedgwick County:

Veterans who are residents of Sedgwick County will also receive a Veteran & Military Discount Card for use at area businesses listed at VeteranBargains.com.
