What do you think about a no-snow winter?
KFDI is the radio station in Wichita, Kansas that people turn to for country music, breaking news, and severe weather coverage. It’s the market-leading “big” radio station, with 100,000 watts of power from a tower in Colwich, KS. We’ve been doing what we do for awhile now; since 1971 the 101.3 frequency on the FM dial has been called “KFDI.”
The KFDI 24 Hour News team is well known for its coverage of news and severe weather as they’re happening. As we like to say, “When news breaks out, we break in!” We’ve got mobile units that hit the road for Timesaver Traffic reports during drive times.
Mornings on KFDI get going early at 5am with Brian and Kellie, followed by Carol Hughes in the midday show, Tony Brueski for afternoon drive time, and Mike McQuilliam on the evening shift. Weekends add the voices and personalities of Dane Daniel, Beverlee Brannigan, and Scott Piper.
KFDI is involved in many community and charitable causes, including the American Heart Association, Honor Flight, Kansas Humane Society, Wichita Police Department Christmas Crusade for Children, Habitat for Humanity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and many more.
