Arrest made in Saturday homicide

It happened shortly before 2 p.m.

WICHITA, Kan. - WIchita Police have made an arrest in connection to a fatal shooting that happened Saturday afternoon near Kellogg and McLean.

Police were called to an apartment complex near Taft and LeClede around 1:45 p.m. on the report of a shooting.  When they arrived, they found a man in his late teens of early twenties who had been shot at least once.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.  An 18-year-old man was booked into jail shortly after midnight Sunday morning for first-degree murder.

His bond is set at $500,000.  KFDI News is not releasing the suspect's name until he has been formally charged in the case.
