Man hit by SUV dies in Wichita hospital
A man who stepped in front of an SUV in east Wichita has died in a hospital.
Wichita Police Jerry Moore, 69, was seriously injured in the accident on June 25 on Greenwich Road, just north of Kellogg. He died of an apparent heart attack a few days later.
Police are adding him to the traffic death toll for the year, which stands at 11 after a fatal crash on the Kellogg Flyover on June 29.
Lieutenant Joe Schroeder said Moore's family reported that he had problems with depth perception. Moore was trying to walk across Greenwich Road in a westerly direction when he was hit by a southbound SUV.
