Former congressman Tiahrt endorses Peterjohn
Former Kansas Congressman Todd Tiahrt says he is endorsing the re-election bid of Sedgwick County Commissioner Karl Peterjohn.
Tiahrt lives in Goddard, which is in the 3rd district represented by Peterjohn. Speaking to reporters outside the Historic County Courthouse in Wichita on Thursday, Tiahrt said Peterjohn understands the elements of a successful economy.
Peterjohn is running for a second term in office. He is being challenged by Wichita City Council member Jeff Longwell in the August Republican primary. There is no Democratic candidate, so the primary winner will claim the 3rd district commission seat.
