Man beaten, robbed in south Wichita
A 27-year-old Wichita man says he was beaten and robbed by several other men in a south side neighborhood early Wednesday.
Police Lieutenant Doug Nolte said the man was at a bar at Central and West Street. He gave a ride to another man around 2 a.m. They went to the 2100 block of West MacArthur, and the victim said when his passenger got out, two or three other men pulled him out of the car and beat him.
The victim was knocked unconscious, and when he awakened, he found that his keys, his car and his wallet were gone.
Police are looking for the man's car, a blue 2000 Ford Focus, a two-door hatchback with a license tag of 663-EUN.
Nolte said the victim had visible injuries, but he did not go to the hospital.
