Wichita man charged in fatal crash
Sedgwick County prosecutors have filed a second-degree murder charge against a Wichita man accused in a fatal crash that happened last Friday evening on West Kellogg.
Investigators say Robert Blessman III, 23, was traveling at about 90 m.p.h. when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed in the 500 block of W. Kellogg. The vehicle struck a barrier and overturned. The accident took the life of 27-year-old Jerrod Moffett of Wichita.
Along with the murder charge, Blessman is also charged with involuntary manslaughter while DUI, driving on a suspended license and no proof of insurance.
Blessman was treated at a hospital and released shortly after the crash.
