Indian manufacturer interested in buying Hawker Beechcraft
The world's number-one seller of tractors has its eye on Hawker Beechcraft.
The Wichita Business Journal reports that Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. of India has expressed an interest in Hawker, which is in Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The struggling planemaker has been aggressively seeking potential buyers.
It has received bids from eight potential buyers and it has asked for revised figures from six of those organizations. Mahindra has reportedly expressed its interest, but has not submitted a firm offer.
Mahindra has recently purchased Aerostaff Australia and Gippsland Aeronautics.
