Wichita Police are investigating what led up to an early morning assault of a 62-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman.

Wichita Police Sergeant Scott Brunow said the incident happened around 5:30 a.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of North Green.

Brunow said four black men repeatedly kicked and punched the 62-year-old man. The man was hospitalized with multiple facial fractures. The 22-year-old woman was not seriously injured in the assault.

A short time after the assault, police arrested two of the men in connection with the assault. Brunow said the men were booked into jail on multiple charges, including battery and aggravated battery.

Police are continuing to look for two suspects. They are believed to be 5-feet-6-inches tall, weighing around 160 pounds. One of the suspects was last seen wearing a black shirt and hat, with the other wearing a white shirt, black jeans and hat, with a tattoo on his chest.
