12-month-old recovering from near-drowning
A 12-month-old child is expected to be OK following a near-drowning near 21st and Rock Road. It happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the 8400 block of East Steeplechase.
Reports to 911 indicated that the child was found in a backyard pool by a relative and transported by EMS in critical condition to Wesley Medical Center. Once at the hospital, the child appeared to be recovering.
No other details have been released.
