Man found beaten in Edgemoor Park
Police are investigating the discovery of a badly beaten man at Edgemoor Park near Murdock and Edgemoor.
The discovery was made by a passerby around 7:50 a.m. Sunday.
A 28-year-old man was found in the park unconscious and bleeding from the head. He was taken to Wesley Medical Center in critical condition with severe facial and skull fractures resulting from blunt force trauma to the head.
"The weapon used is unknown. We do not have any witnesses or suspects," said Wichita Police Sergeant Scott Brunow.
The victim was not able to give police a recollection of what happened to him.
Police believe that the incident happened sometime between midnight and when the man was found.
