Fire damages four-plex apartments near 13th & I-135
Investigators are looking for what sparked a fire early Sunday morning inside of a four-plex near 13th Street and I-135. It happened shortly before 5 a.m. in the 1400 block of North Kansas.
Firefighters saw smoke and flames coming from an apartment when they arrived on scene, but were able to bring the fire under control quickly. Two people at the apartment escaped safely. The Red Cross was called to the scene to assist them.
No one was seriously hurt.
