Wichita police identify victim of fatal crash
Police have identified the man who was killed in a crash early Saturday in west Wichita.
Galen K. Haaga, 23, was killed around 2 a.m. when his car drifted to the left and hit a parked flatbed trailer in an industrial area. The crash happened in the 4500 block of West Irving, near Kellogg and West Street.
Police Lieutenant Joe Schroeder said Haaga was killed instantly. A passenger in the car was not injured.
The driver and the passenger were wearing seat belts. Schroeder said it looks like alcohol may be a factor, but police are waiting on toxicology reports to determine the cause of the crash.
