Toy Run shifts from motorcycle parade to rally

After several meetings with local law enforcement agencies, the Wichita Toy Run Association will hold a one day rally instead of a traditional motorcycle parade.
A spokeswoman said the event will be held Sunday, Nov. 4, in Historic Delano to collect toys for various agencies.
The change comes following the fatal motorcycle accident of longtime Toy Run coordinator Holly Potelle. The accident happened June 18 in southwest Sedgwick County on K-42 about a mile northeast of Viola.
