Wichita Police arrested two men after a south Wichita home was burglarized late Sunday night.

Lieutenant Doug Nolte said a mother and daughter returned to their home in the 2800 block of South Custer, and they surprised two men who were gathering items to take out of the house. The men ran away with some property from the home.

Nolte said officers saw a suspicious car in the neighborhood. They watched until a 21-year-old woman walked up and started to drive the car away. Officers confronted the woman, and she took them to her apartment, where they found two 19-year-old men and the stolen property from the Custer burglary.

The men were arrested for aggravated burglary, theft and other charges. Nolte said one item that was recovered was a camera the suspects used to take a picture of themselves with the stolen property.

Nolte said the girlfriend was unaware of the burglary. She cooperated with police on the investigation.
