Wichita mother robbed by her son
Wichita police are looking for a 42-year-old man accused of striking his mother and taking her purse. Lieutenant Doug Nolte said a 67-year-old woman reported that her son appeared at her home Wednesday evening in the 2400 block of South Capri. The son demanded money and the woman gave him some cash, but he wasn't satisfied and he began to threaten her. The woman talked her son into leaving, but then he kicked open the front door and went back inside. They struggled over the woman's purse, then the man struck his mother and shoved her down, and he got away with the purse.
The mother was not seriously hurt.
