Crash critically injures North Newton woman
A woman from North Newton was critically injured when her car crashed head-on into a semi on Highway 50 near Walton.
A release from the Highway Patrol says Rebecca Buchta, 25, was driving east in her 2007 Hyundai when she crossed the center line toward the big rig. The accident was reported at 12:43 p.m. Thursday, about two miles east of Walton in Harvey County.
Buchta was transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
The truck driver was identified as 43-year-old Michael Parks of Necedah, Wisc. Parks was not hurt.
