Republican group endorses primary candidates
The Kansas Republican Assembly met Thursday night in Wichita to hear from local candidates for seats on the bench of the 18th judicial district in Sedgwick County and for Sedgwick County Commission.
Commission incumbent Karl Peterjohn and his challenger, Wichita City Councilman Jeff Longwell, each spoke to the assembly prior to Thursday night's vote. The assembly voted to endorse Peterjohn over Longwell.
In the Division 2 judicial primaries, the assembly voted to endorse Dave Dahl. In Dvision 14, they selected Jama Mitchell, and in Division 18, Stephen J. Ternes. In Division 23, the assembly voted to endorse David Calvert.
