Sedgwick County Fire Deputy Fire Marshall Clint Reed said a garage and four "Camaro-type" cars burned in a garage fire in Haysville.

The cause of the fire at 124 South Lamar was not available. It happened just after midnight.

Damage to the garage and vehicles is estimated at $110,000.

"Each one was a little different. He had a '79 Pontiac Grand Am in there, and he had some newer model Camaro's 90's models," Reed said. "We didn't get into how much modification he did to each one of them."

Two adults, one infant and their pets escaped injury.

Four Camaro-type cars in a garage, along with another car in the driveway of a home in the 100 block of south Lamar in Haysville shortly after midnight.

"The first arriving units found a large glow, with a lot of fire in an approximately 24-feet-by-30-feett garage," said Doug Williams, Sedgwick County Division Fire Chief.

Once fire crews were able to get into the garage, they found the four classic cars that had burned.

The fire reached the back of the house, causing windows to break and the siding to melt.

An immediate cause of the fire and damage estimate were not known.  County firefighters returned to their station around 3 a.m. Thursday.
