Oklahoma woman who faked a kidnapping ordered to pay restitution
(AP) An Oklahoma woman accused of faking her own kidnapping days before her wedding has been ordered to repay more than $33,000 to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation for the time and money it spent searching for her.
Tiffiny Bray pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of unauthorized use of a vehicle and one count of obstructing an officer. The Associated Press reports Bray was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
OSBI says it spent ``hundreds of man hours'' searching for Bray, who was reported missing by her fiance in July 2010. She was eventually found in a Texas hotel room with another man.
Her attorney, Brad Cox, says Bray is concerned about the restitution she's been ordered to pay but is hopeful she can pay it in installments.
