McPherson County man faces child porn charges
A McPherson County man is accused of using a 9-year-old girl to produce child pornography. A statement from the office of U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom says 50-year-old Philip Andra Grigsby of Marquette is charged with 2 counts of enticing a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of child pornography. The crimes are alleged to have occurred in April and July of this year.
Grigsby is also charged with 1 count of possession of child pornography and 1 count of unlawful possession of a firearm after a felony conviction.
If convicted, Grigsby faces 15-30 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000 each on the counts of producing child pornography. He could also receive up to 5 years and a fine of $250,000 on the possession count, and up to 10 years and a fine of $250,000 on the gun charge.
The FBI and the Australian Federal Police cooperated in the investigation with the Marquette Police Department and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
