Collision kills Butler County bicyclist
A bicyclist was killed when he was struck from behind while riding on US-77 near Augusta.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 49-year-old Roger Joyce of El Dorado was riding south in the right lane when a 1990 Buick LeSabre struck him. The accident was reported at 2:25 p.m. Thursday.
The driver of the Buick is identified as 36-year-old John Reeves of Rose Hill. Reeves was not injured. A 3-year-old child in his car was also unhurt.
A Highway Patrol news release says that Joyce was wearing a helmet.
