US Senator Jerry Moran and Arkansas Democrat Mark Pryor have announced the formation of the bipartisan Senate Water Caucus.

The caucus will look at problems and challenges facing the nation's water supply.  The group will work with experts in the public and private sector to identify issues facing the quantity and quality of the nation's water.

In a news release, Senator Moran said "Water is the lifeblood of our municipalities and access to an adequate water supply is critical to our country's future success.  Our desire to address this issue is underscored by the ongoing drought our country is facing- the worst since 1956.
