Bullies caught after stealing iPod from 11-year-old boy
A man who lives in the 1800 block of North Waco chased two youngsters away after he witnessed his 11-year-old son being robbed.
Wichita Police Lt. Doug Nolte says the victim was approached by two older boys at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
"They demanded that the 11-year-old give the iPod he was holding to the 12-year-old and 16-year-old," Nolte said. "They threatened to hurt him if he didn't."
The father flagged down a police officer, who was able to arrest the two bullies.
The victim got his iPod back and the suspects were taken to Sedgwick County's Juvenile Intake and Assessment Center.
