Cargill establishes teen literacy program

Cargill Cares established Cargill Cares for Teen Literacy at Fundamental Learning Center with a donation of $14,920.

Through the donation,10 low-income students, ages 11-18, with significant reading, spelling and writing delays will receive research-based targeted instruction 60 minutes two times a week during the 2012-2013 school year. In addition to the personalized training, these students will receive assistive technology including Livescribe Echo SmartPen and the iPod touch MP3 player for books-on-tape and class lectures.
