Wichita Police investigate shooting
Wichita police are investigating a shooting that happened around 10:30 a.m. outside of a home at the intersection of Mt. Vernon and Bleckley.
Wichita Police Sergeant Bart Brunscheen said an argument was in progress when shots were fired. While police were headed to the scene, a man in his 20s or 30s walked into Via Christi St. Joseph on Harry with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Brunscheen said the man's injuries are not life-threatening.
Several adults and five or six children were at the home when the shooting took place, but were not injured
Bleckley was closed for a short time, as shots were fired across the street and hit a vehicle and home nearby.
Brunscheen said so far no suspect has been identified. The shooting is still under investigation.
